From cosy leggings and soft sweaters to perfectly layered ensembles, these are my most comfortable travel outfits.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but airport wear has become a style of its own. People don’t just fly; they dress for it! While comfort is still key, who says you can’t look stylish at 35,000 feet?
My favourite items tend to be in block colours. I love a vibrant outfit, that pops for those pre-flight selfies! I’ve popped together a few of my favourite travel outfits. These are all available in a broad range of sizes and colours, so you’re guaranteed to find one you like!
Whether you fancy athleisure, loungewear or a cosy knit, I’ve found some amazing items, and they’re all affordable too. Let me know which is your favourite!
Cute And Comfortable Travel Outfits For Women
Look 1: Blue Leggings & Cream Jumper
This is one of my favourite looks right now. It mixes athleisure wear with a gorgeous oversize knit. I absolutely love the way the blue leggings pop against the soft cream jumper.
I’ve teamed this look with one of the most versatile trainers out there: chunky Puma Cilia trainers. Not only do they add a little extra height, but they’re also super comfy and practical – basically, a travel must-have!
You’ll see these leggings cropping up again in this list, which shows just how adaptable they are.
Look 2: Black Jogging Bottoms and Cosy Green Jumper
If I’m planning a travel outfit for a long haul flight to somewhere somewhere cold, I think it’s nice to arrive in a cosy jumper. This forest green jumper has a textured cable knit pattern and a funnel neck. It’s guaranteed to keep you toasty from take-off to landing! I seem to have a whole wardrobe in this shade of green! It’s one of those colours that flatters pretty much everyone and is perfect for that cosy autumn/winter vibe.
The black joggers have a fleecy layer inside and are made from a nice thick material. Some joggers go a little baggy, but these have a straight leg and more shape, making them much more flattering. Comfy and stylish? Yes, please!
As with all the looks, I’m pairing this one with my trusty Puma Cilia trainers!
Look 3: Blue Leggings, Navy Vest and Striped Shirt
This look is perfect if you’re travelling somewhere warm. I’m not a huge fan of travelling in shorts as it feels a little revealing to be wandering around the airport in a skimpy look, plus planes are often overly air-conditioned! Brrrr!
I’m back in my favourite leggings in French Blue. They fit nicely and come in a range of shades including black, pink, maroon and navy. There’s a pair to fit every shape too, from XS to plus size options, up to 6 XL Plus.
I’ve paired this look with a classic navy tank top (which comes in a pair with a pale green version). These are so versatile for travel!
For a little extra coverage, I’m rocking this blue and white striped shirt. It’s 100% cotton and under £20! Sure, there are other fun patterns available (hello, spots and gingham!), but I’m convinced nothing tops this classic combo. It’s one of those pieces you can easily dress up with jeans and sandals for a night out, or throw over a bikini as a chic beach cover-up. A true wardrobe staple!
Look 4: Purple Sweatshirt and Dark Green Pointed Trousers
One of the besy ways to stay comfortable while travelling is to choose stretchy fabrics. You want soft items with a bit of give. That’s why I love this look!
These dark green trousers might look ordinary from a distance, but up close you’ll see they have a pintuck in the centre and a slight flare, for a smarter finish. They’re the ultimate blend of comfort and chic.
The purple sweatshirt has dropped shoulders and a slight crop. It’s perfectly draped for that effortlessly cool look. The material is thick, with a silky soft lining inside. And wow, have you seen how the colour pops against the trousers and my skintone? Love it!
Look 5: Blue Leggings and Brown Sweatshirt
I’m back again with my favourite blue leggings! I mean, are these the most diverse leggings on the planet? I love the bold shade of blue and how vibrant it appears against whatever it’s paired with.
This time, I’m teaming them with a simple brown sweatshirt. This is thick and cropped, the same as the purple sweatshirt. If you want to take a look at the range, you’ll see this comfy jumper comes in numerous shades including navy, black, dark brown and a lurid lime green! I’m not brave enough for that one, but maybe you are?
I really love dressing in block colours – they’re smart and comfy, give a bit of vibrancy to the look, and you can clash and complement to your heart’s content!
What do you think of my comfortable travel outfits? I hope this round up helps you decide what to wear on a long haul flight!
