The Best Cafes To Work From In Milan

Coffee laptop

Looking for the best cafes to work from in Milan? Look no further!

While on my recent travels, I had a few days spare in Milan before heading to Turkey. So, I checked into a super cool hostel, made some traveller friends, and went off in search of the best cafes to work from for a few days.

I just love grabbing my laptop and setting up shop in a public place. There’s something so inspiring about the digital nomad lifestyle. With the buzz of a foreign city, it heightens everything, and for some reason I feel more motivated to work, the further I am from home!

Thankfully, Milan has some excellent spots, with free wifi… and lucky for you, I’ve decided not to keep them to myself!

PAVÉ

Pavé is a very cool café… in a neighbourhood that didn’t seem to have much happening. It’s the meeting spot for all sorts. Students piled in around 11am for espressos, business meetings took place around me all morning and at 1pm sharp a sudden influx of hungry lunchers packed out every nook and cranny. It also happens to be one of the best places for breakfast in Milan.

TOP TIP: Arrive In Style with Lake Como Transfers

Lake Como Italy

I’m ready to reveal my top tip for how to travel to Lake Como in style.

When I was researching routes from Milan Malpensa airport to Lake Como, it became clear this was a route taken regularly by people with large budgets. Yes, there are trains and buses, but they aren’t particularly direct to the main tourist towns in the centre of the lake. The simplest way to travel – by car. I decided to test out one of the transfer services on offer, to find out if it was worth splashing the cash.

I’d recommend reading my guide to travelling from Milan to Lake Como for other ways to reach the lake. Plus if you don’t want to splash the cash, be sure to check out my guide to visiting Lake Como on a budget

I booked my transfer with Lake Como Transfers – a company with an impressive set of Trip Advisor reviews. In fact, they’re rated number one of things to do in Menaggio. The email exchange with Jenny on the concierge team was friendly, and although I was booking just a few days before my trip, they had availability and my transfer was booked with ease. With everything confirmed, I was informed my driver would be waiting at the airport with a sign.

I was met in arrivals around 6.30pm by Lorenzo, a young, impeccably dressed Italian holding a sign saying “Mrs Chloe”! He wore a suit and instantly reached for my luggage and wheeled it out of the terminal. He was very welcoming and spoke perfect English.

Tallinn Komeet

My Tallinn blog is the perfect place to start if you’re planning a trip to Estonia’s capital city!

From Helsinki, it was time to board the ferry to Tallinn for the final stop of my Busabout Scandi-Baltic Adventure… and WOW did Tallinn win me over!

I’d read relatively little about the city, but it was the one place that everyone I’d spoken to before my trip said “Wow” or “Ooh it’s so pretty”. They had described it as a fairy-tale city… and I could see why! It turned out there were also plenty of cool things to do in Tallinn… I couldn’t wait to start exploring!
