REVIEW: A Relaxing Break At Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa
From delicious food and cocktails in one of England’s most impressive mansion houses, to relaxing in the spa, it’s time for an overnight stay at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa.
I’m currently recovering from one of the busiest weeks in the travel industry calendar. Every year I spend three days trekking to the ExCel Centre in East London for World Travel Market. To be honest, the journey from my home in West London is enough to exhaust me, but add in back-to-back meetings, talks, and evening events, and I’m just about ready to fall over by day three!
So, this year I decided to approach the week slightly differently. The weekend before the big week, I treated myself to a bit of R&R. I hopped in the car with one of my best friends and we headed to 5* Luton Hoo, part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
Over the next 24-hours we’d enjoy relaxation and treatments in the spa, cocktails in the lounge and a 3-course dinner at the AA Rosette Wernher Restaurant. I couldn’t imagine anything better!
REVIEW: A Luxurious Stay At Kempinski Hotel Bahia, Spain
Luxurious, relaxing and stylish, it’s time to check out the stunning Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Spain.
A few weeks ago I sent food and travel blogger Vicky on a luxurious break to check out one of Kempinski’s top hotels in Spain. Fresh from her relaxing trip, it’s time for the lowdown… over to Vicky!
After a flight at the crack of dawn from a very grey London, it was a delight to be met by a smiling member of the Kempinski Bahia team waiting for me at arrivals in Malaga airport. I hopped on board the Kempinski Mercedes people carrier and instantly felt at ease in the heat of southern Spain. There were chilled water bottles, lots of things to read and some cheery music playing. It’s just a 45-minute drive from Malaga Airport to Estepona where the hotel is located… and you know if the pickup is this good the hotel is going to be great!
The drive took us through mountainous landscapes with the sea coming into view. As we entered the driveway to the hotel, Kempinski Bahia looked extremely grand. More lovely staff greeted us as we walked through a beautiful outer entrance with giant wicker chairs, lush green plants and the two resident hotel parrots who loved a chat as we walked past!
But this is only the beginning. Walking into the newly refurbished lobby my eyes almost couldn’t take in the grandeur of the space! It’s beautiful and functional. This is the hub of the hotel and once checked in I made my way to my room, excited about what the next few days would hold.

A Review Of London’s Five-Star Boutique Hotel, The Arch London
Charm, character and elegance – come and find out why The Arch London is worth every single one of its five stars.
Our stay at The Arch London was part of a very special 24-hours. As we’d been so busy travelling in May, Macca and I had booked a date in August to belatedly celebrate his birthday. It was to be a day of surprises for him… but even this surprise day had a few twists!
He packed an overnight bag, and at 11am I revealed he was to solve a series of clues throughout the day to discover where he’d be going. Consider this a personal treasure hunt! The first clue was a postcode for an escape room. The second to a dim sum restaurant. The third to a mini golf experience. And then there was the fourth clue. He solved the riddles and was left with the postcode W1H 7FD. He knew we were heading to Marble Arch, but had no idea what was in store for him next.
We wandered up Great Cumberland Place, passing Georgian townhouses and hotels, and arrived at The Arch London. As we were welcomed by the doorman, I clocked Macca’s grin. What a birthday this was turning out to be!
The Arch London is a five-star boutique hotel in the heart of London. It’s moments from Oxford Street (perfect for shopaholics) and not far from London’s top restaurants and tourist attractions. It’s a lovely contrast to the vast, big name hotels on Park Lane, providing a more intimate and personal experience.
