Located inside charming 16th Century Hotel The Crown Inn, Hawkyns is Amersham’s newest fine-dining restaurant. While the dining area works the space’s original beams and cosy fireplaces beautifully, that’s where the ancient feel ends.
When it comes beautiful hotels just outside London, The Grove is one of my top picks. Set in 340 acres, the grounds are totally stunning, with cascading water features, perfectly manicured hedges and even an outdoor pool and beach area! The hotel is pure luxury, with great service and Sequoia Spa, where I had one of the best massages of my life.

Just 20 miles from Central London is the beautiful county of Hertfordshire. With lush countryside, picturesque towns and plenty of things to do, it’s a great area to explore. If you’re craving a luxurious country escape, then head straight to The Grove. And don’t worry – it’s not one of those stuffy country hotels, this one is drop dead gorgeous with bundles of personality… oh and a cheeky sense of humour!
